Finally, the invader gets bored, leaves, and the owner inspects her eggs while her mate watches

Satisfied, she takes a break

An hour later, back on her nest

Several days later: an empty nest

The eggs have hatched

Later, the invading family collected all of the goslings from all families into a giant nursery of nineteen chicks of various ages with four adults supervising
